Our warranty, in plain English
Rebuilt alternators and starters from Manfield Rebuilders are covered by a 6-month limited warranty where applicable. Here's exactly what that means so there are no surprises.
What the warranty covers
- Defects in the rebuild workmanship on units rebuilt by Manfield Rebuilders
- Failure of parts we replaced during the rebuild under normal use
- The unit performing to specification when properly installed on the vehicle it was tested for
What the warranty does not cover
- Units damaged by liquid, water, oil, or submersion of any kind
- Parts or the unit broken, cracked, or damaged during installation
- Damage from a fault elsewhere in the vehicle (bad battery, wiring, ground, belt, or overcharging condition)
- Improper installation, over-tightening, or use of the wrong unit for the vehicle
- Normal wear, misuse, abuse, accidents, fire, or acts of nature
- Labor, towing, rental, or any other incidental or consequential costs
- Units that have been opened, altered, or repaired by anyone other than Manfield Rebuilders
If something isn't right
If a unit we rebuilt fails within the warranty period, bring it back to us at 15631 Plymouth Rd, Detroit, MI 48227. Keep your receipt or invoice, it's your proof of purchase and start date. Call (313) 837-4422 first so we can have you in and out quickly.
We'll bench-test the returned unit. If it failed due to a covered defect, we'll repair or replace it under warranty. If testing shows the failure came from an excluded cause, for example liquid damage, installation damage, or a problem elsewhere in the vehicle, we'll show you what we found and go over your options.
This is a limited warranty on the rebuilt unit only. It does not cover labor, towing, rental, or any other costs, and it is not transferable. This page is a summary; the terms provided with your unit apply. Ask us any time if you have questions before you buy.
